Changing Text Style Names in DGNLIBs
By ControlAltDelete - www.penbrush.com

There’s an easy way to keep the text styles associated in a file but to different text style names? This can be achieved by using the standards checker and the batch process tool.

  1. Change the name of the style in your DGNLIB.
  2. Sep up the standards checker to check files against this DGNLIB.
  3. Set up a batch processor with the command as “standardschecker execute” and all the files that you want to process added to the file list.
  4. Run the batch program to process all the files in the list.
  5. You are prompted to change the names of the styles that do not conform to the standard.

Since you have changed the original elements that used the now renamed style, the original elements that used the now renamed style will nit conform to the standard and will need to be changed. Note: if you have rename multiple styles, you have to map these individually.
